Simple, stunning, spectacular. Time to get tropical! Featuring Larimar stones, these breathtaking earrings remind the Caribbean queen that the ocean awaits her.
Larimar is also known as the Dolphin Stone, some people even call it the Mermaid Stone or the Stone of Atlantis. You can easily see why when you look at it. The aqua colors have lighter “waves” of light that appear in the stones. Similar to what you see when you gaze upon the tropical ocean floors from the beach side.
Larimar is a type of pectolite, which is a sodium calcium silicate that forms in cavities of basaltic lava and found in only one place on the planet, the Barahona region mines in the Dominican Republic. This rarity, along with its stunning looks makes Larimar a stone that is very special and desirable.
These gorgeous earrings are made with copper and sterling silver. They are polished to a glossy, mirror like shine and feature surgical steel ear wires. The earrings are not sealed and will naturally patina. If you like that look you may allow them to continue to patina gracefully or you may use a polishing cloth to keep them shiny. They measure approximately 0.5″ wide at the widest part x 1.5″ long, with a 0.5″ drop from the top of the wire.
