Description
Soft ocean blues, cloudy whites, and little flecks of earthy color give this double wrap bracelet a look that falls somewhere between the coast and the Southwest. The translucent beads catch the light beautifully, while warm brown leather keeps the whole piece grounded.
This one is truly one of a kind. I no longer have these beads and haven’t been able to find more, so this is the only bracelet I’ll make with them. Once it’s gone, that’s it.
Wear it wrapped twice around your wrist or as a choker style necklace. On your wrist, it works well solo or layered with bangles, copper cuffs, and other leather wraps. As a choker, wear it on its own or pair it with longer necklaces for an easy layered look.
The beads are woven between warm brown leather cords, but the closure may be my favorite part. The antique silver-colored button came straight from my grandma’s old button box. Its geometric pattern adds just enough of a Southwestern feel and gives this piece a little history of its own.
The beaded section measures 13″ and includes three closure points at 13.5″, 14.5″, and 15.5″. You can also adjust the closure knots for a more customized fit. If you have extra leather cord after sizing, simply trim it with standard scissors. After trimming, leave about 1/2″ of leather cord after the second knot.
Because I don’t know the exact material of these beads, I won’t pretend otherwise. What I do know is that their shifting blues, cloudy translucence, and tiny variations are what made me want to use them in the first place. There is something very special about the colors in this one. No other wrap in my collection will be quite like it.
