To help preserve the colors on the earrings that I make, I seal the front side with a metal sealer. The nickel free ear wires and other areas of the earrings will naturally patina.
CARE: Please treat your GaleForce Design Jewelry as you would all special jewelry. Avoid exposure to water, lotions, sprays, cleaners, perfumes, abrasives, etc. The ear wires may be polished using a polishing cloth if you would like to keep them shiny, however, do not submerge the earrings in a polishing solution. Attempting to polish areas of the jewelry that have sealer and color may render the sealer useless and may affect the colors that have been applied intentionally. If you have any questions about the care of your GaleForce Design Jewelry, please contact me.
Most of my copper cuffs are fashioned with thick, 14 gauge (1.6 mm) copper. My standard bracelet sizing measures 1″ W x 6” L and has a 1.25” opening in the back to slip over your wrist. The cuffs are adjustable and usually accommodate wrist sizes from 5 3/4” to 7 3/4” comfortably, depending on how loose or tight you like to wear bracelets. To ensure this will fit your wrist please measure your wrist. If you don’t know what size cuff will work best for you and if you have a bracelet that you like the fit of, measuring that might help you to determine if the standard, 6″ length will work for you or if you would like a custom size. If you have questions about sizing please don’t hesitate to ask me. Custom sizing is available upon request. Fees may apply to custom sizing.
SIZING CUFFS: Properly sizing a cuff bracelet is a process that will allow the cuff to remain in the oval shape that it is meant to be. If size adjusted incorrectly, the bracelet will become misshapen and may become uncomfortable to wear. I have the sizing and care instructions for my bracelets located on the inside lid of my bracelet boxes.
The cuffs may be slowly adjusted, with even pressure on both sides of the opening. Slowly open the cuff, using both hands, or make it smaller by cupping the cuff in both hands and gently squeezing the opening. I demonstrate this process in the video below. Please remember to leave yourself just the right amount of space to be able take the bracelet off without it being too loose to fall off of your wrist on its own. To put the bracelet on and to take it off, it may be helpful to do so sideways, just above your wrist bone, in the meaty part of your forearm. Sizing your bracelet or taking it off and putting it on your wrist in any other fashion than previously described will most likely cause the cuff to become misshapen and uncomfortable to wear, see image below. Adjusting the size of metal jewelry frequently is not recommended. Please watch the video below to see a demonstration of proper cuff sizing.
