From 1943 to 1954, 600 women received a chance to play for the All American Girl’s Professional Baseball League. Today, many women still admire the players of this league because they took a stand for all women and proved that women can be just as tough as men and still look pretty while doing it.
These handmade, copper, baseball earrings are prefect for the baseball/softball fan and/or player! Show your rugged, yet feminine confidence when wearing them.
The dark patina emphasizes the design and gives the earrings a dramatic look. I have applied a metal sealer to the front side to help preserve the colors. The nickel free ear wires and other areas of the earrings will naturally patina. They measure 1″ long (1.5″ with wire drop length) x 1″ wide.
To achieve the design on these earrings, I have used an acid etching technique. Years of experimenting with and fine tuning the process has led to the intricate details you see here.
