Properly sizing a cuff bracelet is a necessary process that will allow the cuff to remain in the oval shape that it is meant to be. If size adjusted incorrectly, the bracelet will become misshapen and may become uncomfortable to wear, see photo below.
Did you know that I have the sizing and care instructions for my bracelets located on the inside lid of my bracelet boxes? This is the perfect take home reminder on how to properly size your bracelet. It’s also handy for those who are giving my cuffs as gifts.
SIZING CUFFS: The cuffs may be slowly adjusted, with even pressure on both sides of the opening. Slowly open the cuff, using both hands, or make it smaller by cupping the cuff in both hands and gently squeezing the opening. Please remember to leave yourself just the right amount of space to be able to take the bracelet off without it being too loose to fall off of your wrist on its own. To put the bracelet on and to take it off, it may be helpful to do so sideways, just above your wrist bone, in the meaty part of your forearm. Sizing your bracelet or taking it off and putting it on your wrist in any other fashion than previously described will most likely cause the cuff to become misshapen and uncomfortable to wear. Adjusting the size of metal jewelry frequently is not recommended. Sizing the cuff should be done one time and then left at that size for all future wearing.
